PAL to NTSC Multisystem Video Converters

Image : http://www.flickr.com

PAL

PAL technology is a color coding system in television systems in large parts of the world in action. Other common standards, including NTSC and SECAM. PAL is an analog transmission and is a standard used alternately in all 625 lines. It is based on the frequency of 50 Hz line cycle used and administered in countries where it is often standard equipment in the stream.
PAL was introduced as a standard in 1967 and hasEight different - PAL B, PAL G, H PAL, PAL D, PAL I, PAL-K, PAL-K, PAL-N, PAL M. These branches of PAL have different specifications. PAL is used in China, India, Indonesia, Israel, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran and Britain, some European countries, some countries in South America and Africa.

Within Europe, France, along with some of its neighbors, SECAM-use technology, where, how, the rest of Europe uses the PAL standard. It is the dominantStandard in the world with the United States and Japan using the NTSC standard. 625 lines of PAL at 50 frames per second and a half working at 50Hz cycle.

NTSC

NTSC is the technology that sets the standard for television and video standard in the United States and offers a composite video signal with a refresh rate of 60 fields per second, interlaced. A framework consists of a data packet and in this case it would be a set of composite video signals, aFramework are contained. NTSC contains 525 lines and can contain 16 million colors. A mean composite video signal that includes all colors, like red, blue and green signals. It may also consist of audio signals for time. These are mixed to form the composite video signal.

NTSC is designed essentially a similar system in the United States and in use in Canada, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, the United States and some other countries, especially in the North and South America. The refresh rate of 60Hz NTSC standard, and consists of 525 lines per image. Of these 525 lines, 485 carry the video information, the rest are sync pulses, which are not visible. The bank lines have been deliberately put there to allow time for electronic weapons in a television interview given to those who repositioned.

SECAM

SECAM is an analog color television for the first time in France, as a video standard, in the first half of 1960. It is historicallyEuropean first standard color television. SECAM uses the same bandwidth as PAL but transmits the color sequence. Operates at 625 lines per frame and uses the same frame rate as PAL, 25 frames per second. SECAM in France and former French colonies used. Also used in the former communist countries of Europe. Because of the same features that SECAM has with PAL, especially as regards the resolution and frame rate is concerned, using DVDs, VCDs and PAL SuperVHS internally, but before theSignal at the output is available, the color encoding to SECAM changed is displayed on a SECAM TV.

Because of incompatible video standards can not video tape of a region is seen on television of another country, a different standard. This means that a video tape are not considered in the United Kingdom to the United States. This video has no form of a videotape to convert PAL to NTSC for viewing. Multi-Video System can play, videotapes of allRules, but you can not become the default video standard compatible with the current television standard. Solution to this problem is a video recorder with the possibility of converting the output signal to a level compatible for viewing on a TV you have. This multi-system VCR should have an integrated converter for this purpose.

A basic system of multi video is not based on this processor and a separate converter needed to be used, between video and television, or you are a multi-system TV to view the tape. A multi-system TV also has built a converter, and all the VHS tape you can play the VCR to show in each of several base. To see, suppose you have a PAL video tape on a NTSC TV. You will not be able to see the movie, while your VCR is a multi-in and has an integrated converter. The PAL is read by tape recorder and NTSC video signals are converted when using the output of the VCRto the TV. If your multi-system VCR does not have a converter, you must have a multi-system TV set so you can see the tape. The other alternative would be to connect an external converter between your multi-video and NTSC TV when you can see the videotape.

When converting PAL to NTSC, the point is to remember that the standard NTSC video with a resolution of 720x480 and a speed of 30 frames per second, while PAL has a resolution of 720x576 with aFrame rate of 25 frames per second. Therefore, from the above specifications, which can be easily found that PAL has a better picture quality than NTSC, while NTSC has a better display of moving images due to the higher refresh rate.

TenLab TenLab offers converters, which is the conversion of one of video standards in the ability of others. These are independent of video-transmission standard converter that supports PAL, SECAM and NTSC. The converter equipment connects to the video output toconverter output goes to the TV signal input. So if you play a PAL video tape / disc on your multi-VCR / DVD, the converter output is a standard that is compatible with NTSC standard TV.

Some of the models TenLab stabilization of vision, with Bult-corrector in time and have a video enhancer to give a clear image quality and crisp. TenLab converters are also used by the number of companies. TheConverters are for professional applications such as satellite transmissions worldwide, MTV Latin America and Gulfstream Aerospace for the Board of multiple system entertainment systems.

TenLab was founded in 1988 with the mission to release the products in the incompatibility between different standards existing video systems worldwide to create. The company introduced the first NTSC video converter, works on standard video cassettes. SinceTenLab has continued to introduce new models and offered to improve the old to the new rules.

Movie Maker for the Web

Image : http://www.flickr.com

What takes years to have a video and Internet stocks? With the video-hosting sites such as YouTube, anyone can do, Google Video, and share with people around the world, whether to do a home video or your project, as it is. With all the specifications and requirements for size and image quality of the film in the line can become complicated. It's good to have a plan on how to do it. In sections, the script is the backbone of their action. This script is very important.Take a few minutes to write the script.

It's much easier to change the script to edit, then film. And remember, keep it short and fun. Then select your media. You may already have a home video camera at home. Please sit down and think about it. There are three types of media: Mini DV, DVD and memory cards. I like them all. But I know friends who like to use the MC. I do not blame them. Easy to use. But more expensive. Chambers of media that these costs are based on it. Viewany of them almost every day. All cameras are high definition.

The question is: What is quality? Report of a consumer, a mini-DV is the best option. Although the image converted to tape, no compression. The video shown on a big screen without any change in quality. If you import to your computer, you can change the file size. Since the scanning is done in real time, so it lasts longer than DVD or MC. With DVD and burn the image anddigitally imported into the disc or card, then you're in the fastest team, but the quality and size is the default. To view the videos on the Internet it should be.

But quality is worse, if you plan to present a large-screen TV .. The biggest difference between Mini DV, MCs and DVDs is the inability to change the tapes. If run from space still available on DVD or mini DV that only the band. MCs with you first for the team and re-use the MC, or have a newHand. It could be expensive.

Puccini: Edgar [Blu-ray]

Puccini: Edgar [Blu-ray] Review

4.5 from 5

Before going any further, I would suggest you read the extensive and thorough review by G.P. Padillo for the DVD release of this performance. He has gone into great detail and provides an excellent outline of the opera and its history. I am writing this review, due to some differences in perception of the work and its performance.

It has been stated, in other sources, that Puccini lacked the ability to handle the drama of a story such as Edgar. In fact, the fault lies with the libretto by Ferdinando Fontana, as the story of Edgar bears weaknesses and some degree of illogicality in its structure. In the total perspective of the complete four act work that has now been returned to us, Puccini has provided an opera with a relatively good dramatic arc, and an opera that contains a good complement of attractive arias, an especially beautiful duet, and a large quota of excellent and appealing chorus work.

As other reviews have stated, the performance does not commence well. I would not say it takes the entire first act for everyone to get into their stride, but it takes a good 20 minutes at the least, and this includes the strings, which is a body that could be better coordinated in these early stages. But it all settles down into quite excellent performances from all soloists (I suspect it was recorded at one performance, rather than the usual two or three, allowing editing together the best sections). In this fairly lengthy work, it is well worthwhile putting up with the shaky start for all that follows.

The work starts slowly, sounding to me initially as if it could be more in the vein of "Rondine" , but Puccini manages his flawed libretto and progressively builds the dramatic intensity and flow of the opera, reaching a powerful and moving conclusion to what proves to be a quite dramatic work. After the shaky beginnings, all of the artists, as mentiond, perform well, with José Cura outstanding in his lead role as Edgar. Special mention should also go to the chorus. This work is laden with quite a lot of chorus singing, and the chorus members are very well up to the demands of the work -- something important for this opera if it is going to "come off".

Whilst I might look forward to a production with slightly higher standards in most departments, all aspects here are sufficiently good to give a competent presentation of a work that we have been denied for far too long.

On the technical side, both lighting, photography and editing seemed to speak more of a film background rather than recording stage productions, but while giving a different look, this aspect did not spoil the production in any way for me. There are a few Blu--ray releases that have a marginally sharper image, but this is still in the very good class. Sound, which is also of a high standard, is available in PCM stereo, as well as DTS--HD Master Audio 7.1. Image is 16:9.

So, as I said, while we may wish for a production at a slightly higher standard, after much reflection, I gave five stars as the production shows a well-unified concept, providing a worthwhile performance of an opera none of us has ever seen, yet should never have been lost. Despite the faults, when the performance came to an end, my immediate reaction was that I wanted to watch it all over again straight away. If you love Puccini, then buy this, forgive it its weaknesses, considering its entirety rather than picking at odd places. I think if viewed and listened to in this way, that is, as the complete work, rather than the sum of its parts, you will be very pleased to have it added to your collection.

Puccini: Edgar [Blu-ray] Overviews

Original rediscovered Puccini Opera! A fake death, a perverse woman and a pure woman, a man torn between them, a murder: the story of Edgar, Giacomo Puccini's second opera, is full of dramatic turns of events. Arthaus Musik presents this powerful and tragic opera now in a version which was count for lost for nearly 120 years. For the fi rst time the original version in four acts of Edgar by Giacomo Puccini was staged at the Teatro Regio in Turin in 2008. Thanks to the rediscovery of the manuscript score, after 119 years since the fi rst and only performance in Milan in 1889 and after numerous versions condensing the opera in three acts, it will be again possible to experience the original opera that Puccini wrote. It was only when the American Puccini expert Linda B. Fairtile began reconstructing the original orchestration of the almost 40-minute fi nal act that the composer's granddaughter, Simonetta Puccini, came up with the intact score. José Cura, acclaimed all over the world for his intense interpretations, is Edgar. His rich and brilliant tenor voice, together with his fascinating stage presence, make him one of the most charismatic and sought-after artists in the world. With him, two prima donnas, two artists of great charm and with skyrocketing careers: the Italian soprano Amarilli Nizza and the Russian mezzo-soprano Julia Gertseva.

Dirty Harry Collection (Dirty Harry / Magnum Force / The Enforcer / Sudden Impact / The Dead Pool) [Blu-ray]

Dirty Harry Collection (Dirty Harry / Magnum Force / The Enforcer / Sudden Impact / The Dead Pool) [Blu-ray] Review

5.0 from 5

A couple of years ago WB Home Video put out the Ultimate Dirty Harry Collection and this appears to be a paired down version of that. Lacking a few of the extras -- the book, Biography special on Eastwood, Callahan's badge -- it is cheaper. If you don't already have these films, this is a pretty inexpensive way to do so. You do get the commentaries, special on the film Dirty Harry as well as the retrospective The Long Shadow of Dirty Harry -- "I like tough on criminals. I hunt them with a big gun so when I shoot them they fall down." John Milius' take on the character of Harry Callahan. The films: DIRTY HARRY ( classic )and four pretty entertaining sequels. A good edition to any library. Only Big Clint can fire that cannon with one hand, let alone the .44 Auto Mag. The pistol was the product of early 1970's technology. Built to withstand internal pressures greater than those generated by a bolt action rifle. It fired a custom round which was a .44 bullet shoved into a cut-down .308 Winchester cartridge to give extra gunpowder, making it a really hot load. Watch closely in Sudden Impact and when Clint is target shooting you will see flames coming out of the barrel and ejection port. In Magnum Force you get a group of killer cops and future stars: David Soul (Starsky & Hutch), Tim Matheson (Animal House) and Robert Urich (Vegas and Spencer for Hire). Look closely at the Dead Pool and a drugged out rock star, Jim Carrey. Go ahead, make your day.

Dirty Harry Collection (Dirty Harry / Magnum Force / The Enforcer / Sudden Impact / The Dead Pool) [Blu-ray] Overviews

DIRTY HARRY Streetwise San Francisco police detective Harry Callahan will nail the serial killer Scorpio... one way or the other... no matter what "the system" prescribes. Don Siegel directs one of the best police thrillers ever made. MAGNUM FORCE Sharpshooting rookie motorcycle cops have turned vigilante, eliminating crooks the courts can't touch – thereby venturing into Harry's cross-hairs. Written by future directors John Milius and Michael Cimino. THE ENFORCER When terrorists rob an arms warehouse and go on a bloody extortion spree, city leaders seek out Callahan, who's now teamed with a lady partner (Tyne Daly) with two jobs: tracking down the terrorists – and winning Harry's confidence. SUDDEN IMPACT On an out-of-town assignment, Harry tracks a traumatized rape victim (Sondra Locke) coldly gunning down her bygone attackers. Fueled by the line that became a national catchphrase: "Go ahead. Make my day." THE DEAD POOL Fame isn't Callahan's style. He'd rather not be lumped in with a rocker, a film critic and a talk-show host. They're slain celebrities named in a mysterious betting pool. And Harry just joined the list.
