3 Reasons Why Zune could beat the iPod

There is much excitement surrounding the release of the Zune player. Microsoft claims that its iPod portable media player is a real murderer. But the reality is not so simple. There are 3 reasons, but that makes us believe that the Zune can succeed. Two of them are already announced but the third is on our wish list for now.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

With the introduction of the Zune in November, Microsoft offered to portable media players to new ways. The Wi-FiAllows users to socialize their music in the universe. The social web as it had all the attention on the Internet in the last year or so. With the Zune, is a part of this development "to go". Sharing a song or watching a video can be boring, but doing so with the Zune and the speed of a Wi-Fi will be very attractive to young people. The bad news could be the role of DRM (Digital Rights Management) will eventually lead to frustration among Zune users.

IntegratedMarketplace

The Zune Marketplace subscription could be a function of actual rockets. The possibility of an online database of new music without download first, you can use on your computer, the Zune a real and first "portable media device access. The other important aspect of the Zune Marketplace is the ability to download as many songs as you want for a flat fee. If we can access the Zune Marketplace as part of a public Wi-Fi network, it becomes a real-time technology and musicOrgasm!

VoIP Phone

These functions have not been announced by Microsoft (yet) but would like a cherry on a sundae to have it. Imagine that your portable device's Wi-Fi can be accessed through the Internet to connect to a VoIP network. This function should not be too difficult to develop because most of the hardware required is already there () next to the microphone. A VoIP phone would be much easier, compared to a true liberation of mobile phones, which require much more integration work andPermissions.
